Commemorating 80 Years Since VE Day Across Our Trust
On May 8th 2025 pupils across all our schools marked the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day — a moment of great historical significance that marked the end of World War II in Europe on 8 May 1945.
As part of our commemorations, children engaged in a variety of activities to help them understand the events of the war, the sacrifices made by those who served on the front lines and at home, and the lasting importance of peace and unity. Through storytelling, creative projects, music, and remembrance assemblies, pupils developed a deeper appreciation of the bravery, resilience, and loss experienced by millions.
The commemorations provided a valuable opportunity for reflection, connection, and gratitude, allowing our school communities to pay their respects and keep the memory of this significant event alive for a new generation.
We are proud of how thoughtfully our children engaged with this topic and of the powerful conversations it inspired in classrooms across our Trust.

International Women's Day 2023
In a small Trust where over 90% of our staff are female, today 13 women stood up to be celebrated. We'd like to increase this number. We need to be proud of ourselves, of our achievements and of our ability to celebrate all things unique about ourselves. We are fortunate to have had women before us fight for equity on our behalf in this country. Let’s increase the women’s confidence in our Trust; to be proud of everything they do, the daily juggling, the impact they have on many children’s lives, the amount they can achieve in one day.
