Introducing our Trust Directors:

Nicola Mullett (Chair)

Nicola is a company director with 25 years’ experience in strategic, commercial and operational roles in the media industry. She leads the strategic planning, and corporate development functions in her current role as Chief Strategy Officer for an advertising technology company, as well as having Non-Executive Director roles in a number of businesses. Nicola has over 10 years' experience in school governance, having previously been the Chair of Governors at St. John's Infant and Nursery School.

Biddie O'Connor (Vice Chair)

Biddie is now retired from a career spanning nearly forty years in education as both a teacher and for the last twenty years as a Head of two high-achieving, large, independent schools. She has sat on numerous educational committees as well as being a Governor in both independent and maintained sector schools. Currently she is Chair of Governors at St John’s Infant School and a Trustee of Poppy Academy Trust.

She believes passionately in the importance of an all-round education for every child and in equipping pupils to become engaged with their communities as they grow.

Ian Connon 

Ian is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales with many years experience as a chartered accountant and auditor. He currently works in a regulatory support and risk management role for a major firm of accountants. Ian has been a trustee of the Poppy Academy Trust since its formation and was a governor of Fair Field Junior School prior to its conversion to an academy. 

Andrew Harvell

Andrew has over 25 years’ experience in the Financial Services sector and currently consults on index design, quantitative research and technical analysis. He was previously Managing Director, Quantitative Research, FTSE Group and prior to that was a Quantitative Strategist at HSBC. He has also been a past chairman and president of Radlett and District Round Table. He is an Associate Member of both the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment, and The Society of Technical Analysts.

Stuart Howard

Stuart is a qualified chartered accountant and holds a degree in Government and Politics from Swansea University. He currently lives in Radlett, England with his wife and four children. Stuart has over 25+ years experience in Financial services and been CEO, CFO and COO at both listed and PE backed businesses. During his career he has worked/lived across the UK, and in Europe, North America, Asia, Brazil, and the Middle East. 

He is a keen golfer and a member at Porters Park golf club. As a practising Christian he attends Christ Church in Radlett. 

Patrick Moriarty

Patrick is an Educational and Leadership consultant and an Anglican priest.  For 12 years he was Headteacher at JCoSS, the UK’s only pluralist Jewish Secondary School, following a career as a teacher of Religion and Philosophy and a leader in a range of schools in North London and Hertfordshire.  

A seasoned school Governor in both primary and secondary schools, he is committed to excellence and inclusion in education, with a particular commitment to ensuring there is a range of models of education to suit the rich diversity of young people and the evolving landscape of our communities and economy. 

He has particular experience of faith-based schools which embrace the whole community, and is drawn to all schools which combine respect for different values with strong values of their own.  He seeks to bring this combination to bear in his regular contributions to BBC Radio 2’s Pause for Thought.

Lindsey Bass

Lindsey has extensive experience as a senior leader in sales, marketing and client relationships within Asset Management. Her current role is as Head of Marketing for ImpactA Global, an infrastructure debt manager. Previously she was Head of Consultant Relations at Legal & General Investment Management. Prior to L&G she worked on marketing funds within the alternative investment industry at Cairn Capital and BlueCrest.

Lindsey’s governance and leadership experience includes a focus on DEI, as former co-Chair of the Legal & General Inclusion Teams.  She is currently an Ambassador of the Diversity Project and on the Asset Owner Diversity Charter Advisory Board. Separately she is a director of Rebel Consulting and is a Trustee for the Poppy Academy Trust as well as being a Mental Health First Aider. Lindsey holds a BSc in Communication from the University of Leicester and is a holder of the CAIA and IMC.

Robin Davis

Robin Davis is the Managing Director for Corporate Services at NHS Elect, with over 25 years of experience in operational and strategic roles within the NHS. He leads initiatives focused on quality improvement and team building, helping organisations and teams thrive.

Robin is also a founding governor of Watford St John's Church of England School, where he played a key role in building and creating the school. He has served as Chair of Governors for the past four years, guiding the school's development and growth.

A practising Christian, Robin is an active member of St James' Church in Bushey, where his faith plays an important role in his personal and professional life.
